• Provide compassionate, responsive leadership that reflects and values the fundamental worth of every human being, and embraces the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion promise that every human being deserves.
• Find ways every day to make government work better. Exercise a spirit of goodwill, kindness, respect and professionalism in all interactions. Look for and seize opportunities to more effectively and efficiently serve the people of Alameda County District 2. Work to ensure that District 2 gets its fair share of County resources.
• Tackle challenges with a can-do spirit. Listen attentively and provide a timely response to all inquiries. Learn from subject matter experts. Bring collaboration and a solution orientation to every conversation. Connect constituents to valued service providers. Bring the wisdom of our community in to help tackle our most pressing community challenges.
• Tirelessly advocate and work to provide an adequate safety net for our most vulnerable populations - i.e children, unhoused community members, seniors living on a fixed income, and others – so they can have access to Alameda County’s safety-net services to meet their needs.
• Invite everyone to help bring civility and respect back to the hard work of democracy!
